Version 3 is a major version upgrade including new modules, significant formatting changes, load builders, cell validation and cell value drop downs were added as well as internet module checking.
New modules include post footings, propping pads, propped beams, PFC & Angle lintels, timber columns, timber floor, roof and propped beams. Module improvements include composite module linking with analysis, angle lintels allowing for loads not through the shear centre, segment querying with steel members, new connections models for side cleats, end and base plates .
Most of the input cells with common input values such as reinforcement grade, concrete strength and bar sizes, now have in-cell list boxes which drop down when selected. Cells than only have a set number of options, such as Yes or No, or a beam support type such as simple, or propped, also have lists which drop down, but only those predefined values may be selected.
Users with access to the internet directly on the computer that Structural Toolkit is installed on can choose to monitor for updates. Every time that Structural Toolkit starts the AFSoftware site is accessed and those modules that have an available update are highlighted.
The version update was 2.27 when Version 3 was released.
The final version update was 2.32.
